Herc’s Shield is the award for clearing the Hercules Cup at the Olympus Coliseum.
That particular Cup opens up after locking the keyholes in both Neverland and Halloween Town. It has 10 rounds, ending with a fight against Hercules himself.
As for the shield: it is a great strength-based shield that will probably last you until you get one of the endgame shields. It has a high attack and, at a medium size, still offers a decent modicum of protection.
Is Herc’s Shield Worth Using?

Clearing the Hercules Cup nets you a lot of prizes, so the Herc’s Shield is the cherry atop a very yummy sundae.
The Herc’s Shield has a high enough attack to make Goofy a powerhouse – and keep him that way until you can get him one of his true ultimate weapons.
