The Shooting Star staff can be purchased from the Item Shop in Traverse Town for 800 Munny.
It is a straight upgrade (and palette swap) for the Morning Star staff. It has double the strength and provides the same level of unseen magic boost.
Is the Shooting Star Worth Using?
If you have the extra cash, then sure.
It pops up in the shop after the first few worlds. And that’s around the time you should have enough cash in your coffers to splurge a little bit. It’s also a solid upgrade for the duck, and probably at a time when he needs it.
All that said, if you choose to wait for better staves, nobody would blame you. Better stuff is going to become available just around the corner.
