Limit Form is obtained after Sora’s second visit to Twilight Town. It consumes 4 (four) gauges from the Form Gauge, and it’s the only Drive Form that doesn’t require any Party Members to use.
Unlike the other forms, Limit Form doesn’t boost any of Sora’s attributes. Instead it grants him abilities that were in KH1.5, including the ones that Sora never got to relearn in the original KH2 release. Examples of these are Zanzetsuken, Ripple Drive, and Dodge Roll. You can check more in the Abilities section below.
Most of the abilities are incorporated into Sora as Action Abilities and Support Abilities. But some of them are placed within the Command Menu, requiring you to access it manually like spells and items.
These abilities are referred to as Limit Abilities (not to be confused with the other Limit) and they can be accessed from the “Limit” button in the Command Menu.
However, the “Limit” button replaces the “Magic” button, meaning you can’t use any magic spells in Limit Form. To make up for this, every Limit Ability will grant Sora some HP if the ability hits enemies.
Form Levels
Leveling up this form to certain levels will allow Sora to use some of the Limit Form abilities when not in Limit Form, namely Dodge Roll, Draw, and Lucky Lucky. You can find and equip them in the ‘Abilities’ tab.

How To Level Up
Limit Form gains EXP when you complete the final command of any Limit Ability. You don’t need to land the hit on an enemy, but you need to be in combat in order to get the EXP.
You can level up Limit Form anywhere as long as you’re in combat. However, there is a great spot where you don’t need to worry about enemies attacking you.
Best Method: Mushroom V
Location: The Cave of Wonders: Treasure Room, Agrabah
Mushroom V is an enemy that doesn’t attack you at all, similar to a training dummy. This makes it the best spot to grind EXP and level up Limit Form fast.
Here’s how this works:
Start by warping to The Cave of Wonders: Chasm of Challenges save point in Agrabah, and then enter the doorway entrance near the save point.
Once there, you will be greeted by Mushroom V.
Enter Limit Form and then initiate combat by interacting to him the mushroom using △ (PS) / Y (Xbox) / X (Nintendo).
Once you’re in combat, just head to the wall and spam Sonic Rave until you run out of MP. If you do run out of MP then just head back to the save point to restore it.
Repeat the above steps until you’re close to running out of your Drive Gauge.
When you’re almost out of Drive Gauge, then you want to leave the world while still in Limit Form. So head back to the save point and teleport to the World Map, and then warp back to The Cave of Wonders: Chasm of Challenges save point.
This should refill your Drive Gauge to max and let you keep farming experience points.
