Master Form is obtained after Sora reunites with King Mickey in Hollow Bastion. However, it can’t be used immediately after obtaining it. This form is only usable after the Battle of the 1000 Heartless.
For stats, Master Form consumes 4 (four) gauges from the Form Gauge, and it requires both of your party members.
Intended to be the combination of both Valor Form and Wisdom Form, Master Form greatly powers up Sora’s Strength and Magic, and changes how Sora attacks the enemies while attacking either physically or with spells.
Physical attack finishers are also a lot stronger in this Form, with an emphasis on crowd control (attacks focused on large groups of enemies).
Sora’s movements are also changed – with his running and jumping speed increased 25% and his jump height being 50% higher. Additionally, the ability Aerial Dodge allows Sora to jump twice.

How To Level Up
Master Form gains EXP when you collect Drive Orbs while you’re in Master Form. Small Drive Orbs will gain you +1 EXP, while large Drive Orbs will gain you +3 EXP.
Before farming EXP for Master form, try to have either the Sweet Memories keyblade or the Driver Converter ability (equip both of them if you have both).
- Using one of those (Sweet Memories or Drive Converter) will convert 50% of the munny dropped by enemies into Drive Orbs
- If you equip both the ability and keyblade, then 75% of the munny dropped by enemies will be converted into Drive Orbs
Below we’ve detailed the two best farming methods for leveling up Master Form, depending on how far you are into the game.
Method #1: Merry Go Round Farm (Early)
Location: Candy Cane Lane, Halloween Town
Teleport to the Yuletide Hill save point in Halloween Town and head down the hill, which will lead you to Candy Cane Lane.
After reaching Candy Cane Lane, go into Master Form and run around the area to spawn the enemies around you. The goal is to lure them to the Merry Go Round (the carousel in the middle of the map).
With the lured enemies around, interact with the Merry Go Round to spin it.
The carousel then should damage all nearby enemies, dropping Drive Orbs in process.
After that, without defeating the enemies, go to the nearest area from the Merry Go Round (which would be Christmas Tree Plaza) and then head back again so you can respin the carousel.
You can repeat this process until you’re about to run out of your form gauge, at which point you can exit the Halloween Town world to go back to your Gummi Ship (while still in Master Form). This will refill your Drive Gauge, meaning you can warp back to Yuletide Hill and repeat the farm again.
Method #2: Gambler Minigame Farming (Late)
Location: Tower: Moon Chamber – Twilight Town
Land in Twilight Town at the Tower: Sorcerer’s Loft save point.
Then head to the southern door from this room, leading you to Tower: Wayward Stairs.
Then just head down to the door below, which will lead you to Tower: Moon Chamber.
Once there, go into Master Form and go around the room to spawn the Gambler Nobodies. Avoid attacks until there’s a Reaction Command.
Executing the Reaction Command will enter you into a minigame with them.
There are two minigames that the Gambler will give you:
- Begin Game
- Stop Dice
Depending on the name of the Reaction Command, you will enter a specific minigame.
Card Minigame
If the Reaction Command says “Begin Game”, you will enter a card minigame with them.
Your Command Menu will change into a bunch of “X” buttons with one “O” button moving across the Command Menu at a fast rate, slowing down as each second passes.
You will need to press the “O” button at the right time, which will win you the minigame, granting you a load of Drive Orbs.
Dice Minigame
If the Reaction Command says “Stop Dice”, you will enter a dice minigame with them.
Here, the Gambler will roll a dice and you will need to stop it with the Reaction Command.
Stop the dice when the Reaction Command says “O” and you will win the game, granting you Drive Orbs.
Be wary of your timing while doing the minigames, as being too late or pressing “X” in either minigame will make you lose the minigame, turning you into a card or a die.
If this happens, just leave for the next area, which will return you back to normal.
However this will still decrease your Form Gauge, as the game still tracks the Form counter while you’re transformed into a card or die.
Fortunately, the Drive Orbs that you can obtain are plentiful enough for you to not run out of Form Gauge as a whole.
But the gist of this strategy is to just keep doing the minigames until you’re about to run out of your Master Form drive counter.
Then a little bit before your Drive Gauge runs out, head back to the Tower: Sorcerer’s Loft save point, warp to World Map, and then warp back to Tower: Sorcerer’s Loft. Your Drive Gauge should be refilled to max.
