Best Farming Spot |

The best place to farm for Bright Crystals in KH2 is in Olympus’ Cave of the Dead: Passage.
Bright Crystals are dropped by Crescendos and Neoshadows in Olympus, both of which are in high numbers as you work through the area.
This farming route is as simple as entering the world from the Inner Sanctum save point, then clearing through the Passage and following Atrium and using the save point at the Underworld Entrance to go back to the world map to do it all again.
But an alternative farming route is in Land of Dragons. Here you can fight Air Soldiers and Neoshadows, though the areas in which you fight them are limited in both size and number, making it a bit more cumbersome to do so.
Let’s take a closer look at both farming routes and see how they work.
Olympus – Cave of the Dead: Passage
For the Olympus farming route, enter the world from the Inner Sanctum save point.
Then head backwards into the Passage.
Throughout this long tunnel you’ll fight Tornado Steps, Crescendos, and Neoshadows. The last two drop Bright Crystals and, thankfully, are the most abundant.
Neither of these Heartless should pose a threat, especially if you’re at the point in the game where you are farming for Bright materials.
Use of AOE attacks, such as Magnet spells and keyblade abilities, really help get through it quickly.
Land of Dragons – Encampment and Checkpoint
This farming route is a bit slower.
You won’t fight as many Crystal-dropping enemies and the areas are a bit more cumbersome to navigate, but it can still yield results.
Enter from the Bamboo Grove save point and head through the Encampment into the Checkpoint.
You’re looking for Air Soldiers and Neoshadows.
In the Encampment, both like to hide between the tents and you’ll probably have to bust down a few of them before they show up.
There aren’t too many in the Encampment, and a handful more in the Checkpoint. What this route has is brevity and you can sweep through both areas rather quickly.
Air Soldiers require a bit of tact, though a high-count air combo or a Magnet spell can probably take them down in no time.
Using Bright Crystals
Like all Bright Materials, the Crystals are mostly used as an additive that doubles the Moogle’s earned experience.
They’ll be useless for this purpose once your Moogle reaches level 9, so you’ll be using them in the few recipes that require them after that.
You’ll need 18 Bright Crystals to make one of everything that requires them, but, you might want more — as the two items they’re used to make are ingredients in bigger and better gear, such as the Luck Ring and the Ultima Weapon.
