Bright Gems
Dropped By
  • Aerial Knocker (4%)
  • Magnum Loader (4%)
  • Surveillance Robot (3%)
Best Farming Spot
  • Space Paranoids – Canyon and Dataspace
  • Pride Lands – Jungle

The best farming spot for Bright Gems is in Space Paranoids. Here’s the optimal route:

Enter from the I/O Tower save point and do a run from the nextdoor Dataspace to the Sail Simulator and back. This will get you a few of the Magnum Loaders that drop the Gems.

Alternatively, you could head to the Oasis save point in the Pride Lands and head right out into the Jungle to fight the Aerial Knockers there. This is a shorter route, but involves a lot more returning to the world map.

Below we’ll cover more details on both of these options for farming runs and the pros and cons of each.

Space Paranoids

Head into Space Paranoids at the I/O Tower save point to start.

You’ll exit into the I/O Hallway and from here, you first want to make a right into the Canyon.

Once in the Canyon, take a left and head into the Dataspace.

In here you’ll fight two Magnum Loaders.

After you take them out, head back through the Canyon and into the I/O Hallway. This time head through the red doorway into the Simulation Hanger.

Here, you’ll fight two more Magnum Loaders.

Now all you have to do is go back and forth between the Simulation Hanger and the Dataspace.

Enemies in Kingdom Hearts 2 respawn when you go two areas away, so this setup makes it so the Magnum Loaders in their respective zones are always there.

The perks of this route are twofold:

  1. You don’t have to go to the world map
  2. And you can get good drops from the other Heartless you may or may not fight

Magnum Loaders are easy prey. Weak to Thunder, you can mop them up with a quick blast.

You could also just stick to your tried-and-true keyblade as it will bring them to 0 just as well.

Pride Lands – Jungle

The alternative farming route isn’t so much a route as it is a place: the Jungle in the Pride Lands.

Welcome to the…well, you know / Kingdom Hearts II - Final Mix
Welcome to the…well, you know.

Enter the Pride Lands from the Oasis save point and head out into the Jungle.

You’ll immediately fight a group of Aerial Knockers:

Once you sweep them up using Magnet spells or Thunder magic, you simply return to the Oasis and use the save point to go back to the world map.

This method is quicker in that you fight the enemies sooner, but there’s a lot of back-and-forth to the world map, which ultimately makes it slower.

Still, both are totally viable and will get you your gems fairly quick.

Using Bright Gems

Bright Gems, like all Bright materials, are used to double the amount of experience a Moogle gets from synthesis.

Once your Moogle is maxed, then Bright Gems are used to make specific recipes and of really good stuff.

You’ll only need 6 Gems to make one of each of the synthesis items in all of the lists – but with how useful Lucky Rings are, the odds of you wanting more than one is pretty good.
