Best Farming Spot
  • Olympus – Cave of the Dead: Passage
  • Agrabah – Bazaar

The best way to farm Bright Stones is to farm Tornado Steps in the Cave of the Dead Passage in Olympus. This route has you run from one end to the other and use the save point at either side to reset the Heartless.

The alternative route is to head to Agrabah’s Bazaar and fight the Luna Bandits and Silver Rocks there. However, they aren’t quite as plentiful and don’t appear as easily as the Tornado Steps.

Below we’ll take a closer look at both of these routes.

Olympus: Cave of the Dead – Passage

It’s Sora who will make the dead for this cave.

Enter the world from the Inner Sanctum save point and turn right around to head backwards into the Cave of the Dead.

Here, just run through this passage and clear it all out.

You’ll fight at least a dozen Tornado Steps along the way.

They’re the ones with the green arms / KH2FM
They’re the ones with the green arms.

These little fellas like to spin, and can catch Sora in a tornado that will knock him around. Thankfully, they don’t have a lot of HP and will fall pretty easily to AOE attacks like Vicinity Blast or a Magnet spell.

Tearing through the cave is pretty straightforward. Once you get to the other side, head through the Atrium and to the Underworld Entrance to use the save point and head to the world map to do it all again.

Note: Bright Stones are among one of the easier Bright materials to farm and this is probably the easiest way.

Agrabah – Bazaar

The other way you can farm Bright Stones is to head to the Bazaar in Agrabah.

Here’s the optimal route:

Enter the world from the Palace Gates save point and head right in to start shopping.

Silver Rocks in the sky and Luna Bandits on the ground / KH2FM
Silver Rocks in the sky and Luna Bandits on the ground.

Luna Bandits and Silver Rocks are your prey.

They have a tendency to not appear until you start knocking down the various stalls, which makes this a slower affair than the Cave of the Dead.

Silver Rocks have a Shift Shot Reaction Command that you can use against the other Heartless nearby. This helps a lot to quickly trash the chaff and give yourself some breathing room.

Focus on the Luna Bandits first–they can cause the most problems. Liberal use of Magnet spells and keyblade combos are recommended.

Once you’re done, just double back to the Palace Gates to exit the world and try again.

Bright Stones, like the rest of the Bright Family, are primarily used as an supplemental ingredient that doubles the experience the Moogle earns when crafting.

However, there are a few recipes that require Bright Stones as a primary ingredient.
