Dark Crystals

The only Heartless that drops Dark Crystals is the Air Pirate. These folk appear all over the Land of Dragons, but the most efficient place to farm them is in the Encampment.

Here’s the ideal farming route:

Enter the world at the Bamboo Thicket save point and take the only exit out to the Encampment. In this military base you’ll find three Air Pirates. You’ll have to run around to get them to spawn.

Once you get all three, head back to the Bamboo Thicket and use the save point to reset everything and head back again.

Air Pirates

You can probably guess what these things are all about just by looking at them.

They fly around and strike with either swooping or swiping attacks. They use their big claws to perform multi-hit combos that can catch multiple party members in its flurry.

They don’t have a lot of HP and are weak to just about everything, so just go to town and you’ll be okay.

Although they do have a Reaction Command, Air Twister, which can do strong AOE damage and help clear out the non-Air Pirate riffraff.

When they’re about to use Air Twister, they’ll pause mid-air and point ominously at Sora.

This is your cue to get ready to react! Make use of Twister whenever you see it and you’ll get your Crystals in no time.

Using Dark Crystals

You need 6 Crystals to make one of everything that requires them. This ain’t much, but getting a few extra to make a few extra AP Boosts is always nice. Boost those stats forever!
