Best Farming Spot | Land of Dragons – Antechamber |
The best way to get Dark Stones is to head to the Land of Dragons and farm Assault Riders.
Here’s the best farming route:
Enter the world at the Throne Room save point and then head right into the Antechamber. Inside you’ll face off against three Assault Riders. Defeat them and then turn right around to the Throne Room save point to reset and go again.
You can also fight Nightwalkers in this world too, but they have a lower drop rate and aren’t as conveniently easy to make appear as the Assault Riders.
You may prefer to fight Nightwalkers, they are the easier fight, but Assault Riders have a much higher drop rate and are easier to get to.
Assault Riders
These horse-like Heartless are actually pretty tough.
They can do serious damage with their spears and use them to do big cleave attacks that can quickly bring the party to danger.
Keeping your distance is a great strat, especially if you’re low-level or undergeared. Spells like Blizzard and Thunder help a lot.
Utilizing Sora’s Drive forms is really helpful too.
Wisdom probably offers the greatest utility, as you can blast away from safe range. However, a more aggressive form like Valor or Master can be effective as well, so long as you’re careful.
Assault Riders are one of those enemies where it’s best to play it safe until you find a method that works.
Take your time and go through all the tools available until you find the ones that consistently earn you victory–then earn it!
Once you understand how Assault Riders move and attack, they become significantly easier, but the learning can prove to be a big challenge.
Nightwalkers
Though they look like the type that would use magic, these Jiang Shi wannabes are primarily physical attackers.
They use their big hands and claws to swipe and swing.
They’re capable of dealing large amounts of damage and can be quite speedy in doing so.
Since they primarily fly (hence the walk in their name), it’s best to meet them in the air. Staying at their level helps prevent their swoop attacks and keeps them in your line of sight.
Thunder helps a lot, as it does against most aerial enemies.
The best tactic is to be physically aggressive. They don’t have a lot of HP, so you can probably give them a KO fairly quickly if you use a good, strong keyblade.
Using Dark Stones
You need 8 Dark Stones to make one of everything that requires them. Of course, you might want to get extra since Elixirs and Megalixirs are super-duper useful – so farming more could be worthwhile.
