Best Farming Spot
  • The World that Never Was – Hall of Empty Melodies

The only enemy that drops Dense Stones are Sniper Nobodies.

The best place to farm these active shooters is in The Hall of Empty Melodies in the final dungeon. It’s the room you fought Xigbar in, now occupied by Snipers and Creepers.

Who Names These Places?

Here’s the ideal farming route:

Enter the world from the Twilight’s View save point and head up the stairs to the Hall of Empty Melodies. Inside, you’ll fight through half a dozen Snipers. After you’re done, head back to the View to use the save point to leave and try again.

Snipers, right?

Let’s talk about fighting them.

Snipers

A Sniper just hangin’ around.

As you might have guessed, Snipers enjoy shooting at Sora from a safe distance.

Probably why they’re…called that. I see.

Snipers are super skittery and can climb just about everywhere.

Getting into melee range with them can be annoying.

You can circumvent this in two ways: use magic like Thunder or Blizzard, or get real good at using Reflect and the Sniper Reaction Command.

Once the Sniper fires a shot, it’ll hang around for a second before actually moving.

This hesitation can make it easy to misjudge their timing and get hit.

If you’re being fired at by multiple Snipers, it can be frustratingly easy to get stunlocked over and over.

The Sniper’s Reaction Command

If you’re quick, you can approach a paused shot and use the Reaction Command Warp Snipe.

Sora will do an Instant Transmission and ricochet the shot back to the Sniper that fired it.

Most of the time, this is enough to defeat the Sniper and is honestly the easiest way to bring them down.

You might quickly find that most encounters with Snipers will end up being long strings of Warp Snipes until there’s nothing left to snipe.

Using Dense Stones

Stones making stones, kupo / KH2FM
Stones making stones, kupo!

You’re gonna need 18 Dense Stones to make one of everything that requires them. But in order to make one of everything else you’re going to need a lot more.

See, Dense Stones (like most Dense materials) are key components to Mythril components. That means you’re going to need a lot of everything.

Hope you like fighting Snipers!

Hey–at least you can make Save the Queen+. It’s Donald’s best weapon. So, yay!
