Best Farming Spot | Space Paranoids – Canyon and Dataspace |
The best place to farm for Lightning Crystals is in Space Paranoids (the Tron place). You can fight Strafers and Devastators all throughout this world.
The most efficient route is to enter at the Pit Cell, run through the Canyon and clean up, head into the Dataspace to do the same and then double back to the Pit Cell to leave and reset.
Since you’ll be fighting a lot of both enemies that can drop Crystals, you’re sure to get the amount you need in no time. So, let’s take a look at actually engaging with these CPU creeps and how to delete them proper.
Strafers
Strafers are pack animals.
They don’t ever appear alone and it’s only their numbers that make them dangerous.
Their primary attack is a laser shooty and a slow-moving heavy shot.
The former doesn’t do much, but when compounded by a group attack, can really add up. The latter can be a worry if you have a few chasing after you at a time–so be quick!
Strafers are really the filler enemy of Space Paranoids.
You shouldn’t have too much trouble mopping them up. If you’re a magic user, stick to Magnet and Fire spells for your AOE needs. Avoid lighting, as it will heal the Strafer and nobody wants that (well, maybe the Strafers).
Devastators
Devastators can actually be quite worrisome, especially at a lower level.
If Strafers are the filler enemies of Space Paranoids, then Devastators are the main course.
Devastators like to stay away from Sora and blast him with powerful homing lasers. These things can turn and sway, so it’s tricky to avoid them.
Worse yet, when you go to close the gap to deal damage, either the other enemies will get in the way or the homing shot will come to roost.
Using stuff like Sora’s Wisdom Form to snipe them is effective, but getting good with either his Guard ability or the Reflect spell is better.
Knocking a Devastator’s homing laser back at them is really quite satisfying and a great way to Alt+F4 their lives.
Again: abstain from using Thunder magic. It won’t heal them like it does Strafers, but it won’t deal a lot of damage and can risk healing the surrounding enemies.
Using Lightning Crystals
You’ll need 6 Lightning Crystals to make one of everything that requires them, but you might want more due to how cool the two items are.
Getting permanent boosts to your attack and defense is pretty sweet and the gettings aren’t too hard to get. Have fun!
