The only enemy that drops Lucid Crystals in Kingdom Hearts 2 are Neoshadows. While these guys can be found all over the game’s many worlds, the best place to farm them is in the Cave of the Dead’s Passage.

Here’s the best route:

Enter Olympus at the Underworld: Inner Chamber save point then head backwards and up the stairs to the Passage. Do a lap of the place, running up one side and returning down the other while clearing all the heartless. Then use the Inner Chamber save point to exit to the world map and reset everything.

This run will have you fight at least 10 Neoshadows. It is the most consistent place to find and fight them.

Neoshadows

Remember what a big deal these guys were in Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix?

They’re nowhere near as much trouble here.

In fact, they’re just as threatening as normal Shadow Heartless were in the first game.

If they hit you, yes, then they can deal good damage.

But you’d have to kind of try to get them to do that.

They like to dart around and telegraph what they’re doing, so you can just bop them and that’s that.

Magnet and Reflect spells are amazingly effective.

Also, if you can catch their Wind Dance Reaction Command, you can easily wipe out them and their friends. They’re their own worst enemy!

Not too much to say about Neoshadows.

They’ve become a bread-and-butter foe of Kingdom Hearts 2. Keep your wits about you and be as aggressive as possible and you’ll be fine. I promise.

Using Lucid Crystals

You only need 6 Crystals to make one of everything that requires them, but you might want to get a few (many?) more.

They make both Power Boosts and Defense Boosts, which permanently increase ATK and DEF. That’s pretty cool!

Enough time spent farming and you can max Sora’s stats.
