The best (and only) way to get Power Crystals is to find and farm Morning Stars. These spiky spheres can be found all throughout Hollow Bastion but the quickest way to farm them is at the Ravine Trail.

Here’s the ideal farming route:

Enter from the Crystal Fissure save point and head backwards onto the Trail. You’ll immediately encounter two Morning Stars. Clean them up and head back to the save point to exit the world and reset their spawn.

Simple as that! It’s a down-and-dirty way to efficiently farm Power Crystals.

Morning Stars

These fellas can be intimidating, especially if you’re either low-level or just starting your endgame grind.

They hit hard and have a nasty penchant for stunlocking Sora.

Watch them carefully.

Once they take their arms out, they’re gonna start swinging. It’s gonna be either a one-two-three punch combo that can deal a lot of damage or a wind-up spin attack that can knock you around real easy and just as quickly drain your HP.

Surprisingly, its least dangerous attack is its Jump Slam.

It’ll leap up and come down hard enough to create a small AOE shockwave.

This is enough to one-hit KO anybody hit directly, but it also comes with a Reaction Command that’s super easy to catch.

Sora will jump to meet the Morning Star and then slam it down to the ground, creating his own shockwave attack.

This can be done a few times in a row and is a great way to clear out the area. It also deals a lot of damage to the Morning Star itself, so yay!

Using Power Crystals

You’ll need 8 Power Crystals to make one of everything that requires them, but, since that includes stuff like AP and Magic Boost items you may want to get more.

These are super helpful, especially on Critical Mode (or a low-level challenge). Get to it!
