Monstropolis

Bananas are a special ingredient that you can only obtain after clearing the Banana Flan Challenge, part of the Flantastic Seven side-quest in Monstropolis.

To find the Banana Flan, warp into Monstropolis from the Basement save point in The Factory.

Just look to your right and enter the white door nearby to enter the Lower Level of The Door Vault.

From here, head for the western end to find a wall filled with doors. Enter the door at the very left with the red light blinking to reach the Upper Level.

Turn around and head west and you will find the Banana Flan at the end of the hallway.

Examine the banana sticking out from the ground to Summon the giant flan.

It will challenge you to play a minigame where you must hit as many mini flans as possible while avoiding the giant flan until the timer runs out.

Score at least 10,000 points to win a Banana.

Get a top score of 20,000 to win three Bananas plus an ability.

Quick Tips

• Equip area of effect spells: This challenge is all about magic. To take out multiple mini flans in one go, equip spells like Thundaga and Aeroga in your loadout and start spamming them wherever you see the flans clustering together.
• Keep your Ether stock full: Spells like Thundaga or Aeroga don’t come cheap, so you will need tons of ethers to keep your magic gauge replenished during this challenge. Buy as many Ethers or Hi-Ethers as you can and equip them to your shortcut menu for quick access.
• Keep a lookout for the giant flan: The giant flan will keep lunging at you while you’re trying to get to the mini flans. Remember, it’s game over as soon as the giant flan catches you.
