Blood Oranges are a special ingredient that you can only obtain as a reward for clearing the Orange Flan challenge; part of the Flantastic Seven side-quest.

Enter from the Tower save point and head back into the cave right behind you.

Follow the tunnel and exit from the other side to enter the Hills.

Look to your left to spot a large orange, standing out from its surroundings.

Examine the orange and a giant flan will pop out of the ground wearing the orange as a hat.

The Orange Flan will challenge you to play a minigame where you must snap 7 photos of various orange flans while they’re posing or doing other cool stuff.

Earn at least 10,000 points to win one Blood Orange, get a top score of 23,000 or more to win three.

Quick Tips

1) Take your time: This flan challenge has no time limit.

The goal is to take 7 photos of flans and the round only ends once all seven are done. So take your time and wait for the right moment to take the shot.

2) Wait for the flans to pose: The flans follow a set route and often strike a pose at the end. This is the best moment to take a shot in order to get an Excellent. Otherwise you’ll only get a Good and lower scores.

3) Choose the right flans: You can only take 7 photos, but there are plenty of flans to choose from.

To get high scores, choose unique flans doing cool things like catching butterflies, posing with squirrels or even dabbing in a group.
