Betwixt Gems can be farmed in Arendelle and in the Kingdom of Corona. They are dropped by the Ninjas in Arendelle, and by the Reapers in the Kingdom of Corona.

These are both elite Nobodies that will test your battle prowess and reflexes to the limit, especially if you’re playing on hard or critical modes.

Tip: To unlock Betwixt Gems for Purchase in the Moogle Shop, you need to collect 20 of them as drops first.

Arendelle Farming Route

Enter from the Foothills save point and head north.

Make your way through the Snowfield area and cross the central vast open area.

Two large enemy groups, each with a couple of Ninjas, appear at the northern end of the Snowfield.

They are outfitted in dark grey full-body suits, have razor-sharp yellow blades for hands, wear extra-long pointy shoes and have a flowy, thin scarf wrapped around their necks.

The Ninjas have both close range and projectile attacks.

They can teleport around the field and are extremely agile. They have an unblockable aerial spinning attack and a special attack where they create copies of themselves, forcing you to identify the real one.

These Nobodies are resistant to thunder, so your ever-reliable Thundaga won’t be of much use here.

Instead, hit them with your water spells, which they’re weak against.

With their 12% drop rate for Betwixt Gems, you can amass a decent amount of gems from them after a few repeated runs.

When you clear the area just leave the world and re-enter from the Foothills save point to make them respawn.

Note: These four Ninjas are the only group you’ll find during mid-game. So you’ll have to make the most of them if you choose them as your farming targets.

Kingdom of Corona Farming Route

If farming Betwixt gems from Ninjas is taking too long, try Reapers instead.

Reapers spawn throughout the Marsh area in the Kingdom of Corona. Here’s the best route to take:

Land at the Marsh save point and almost immediately you’ll come across a group of Reapers. These hooded nobodies wear pink and white suits that flow down into spinning petals. They wield large pink scythes with prominently pink blades.

They attack by morphing into various flower forms and after taking a set number of hits, they will become immune to physical attacks.

They are especially weak to fire magic, so use that to your advantage.

Just dodge as much as you can and spam Firagas at will.

While they only have an 8% chance of dropping Betwixt Gems, their large numbers coupled with their weakness to fire make them easy farming targets.

Just clear the whole area and return back from the Marsh save point to have them respawn.

Battlegate 9

During the end-game, you can farm Betwixt Gems from Battlegate 9, located in Arendelle.

Battlegates are enemy gauntlets that appear throughout the worlds after you’ve completed the main story.

Battlegate 9 is located within The Labyrinth of Ice in Arendelle.

Warp in from the Gorge save point and examine the huge glowing orb in front of you.

This will teleport you back into the Frozen Labyrinth.

Just turn around right where you appear and head down on the icy spiralled platform.

Keep following the passage when you reach the Middle Tier. Icy doorways will block the path but only go past the ones with ascending stairs.

At the end, you will reach the chamber with the Battlegate 9’s blue crystal entrance in the center.

Using Betwixt Gems

Betwixt Gems are required for five recipes, and you must have at least 11 gems in total to synthesize at least one copy of each recipe.
