In KH3, Betwixt Shards are easiest to farm in San Fransokyo. They are dropped by the Sniper Nobodies found around the South District of San Fransokyo at night.

You can also buy Betwixt Shards from the Moogle Shop after collecting 30 of them as drops.

San Fransokyo Farming Route

Warp in from the South District: Night save point and comb through the surroundings.

Snipers usually appear on elevated walkways under tall buildings.

The Snipers make a comeback from Kingdom Hearts 2, wielding large crossbows and dressed in purple full-body suits.

Snipers attack in groups of two or three.

As the name suggests, they will snipe you from a distance, warping in and out around all corners of the battlefield. Whenever there’s an enemy group with Snipers in it, prioritize taking them out first before tackling other enemies.

Otherwise, they’ll constantly target you from afar, making it tough to focus on anything else.

Practice blocking since all their shots can be repelled back. They are weak to blizzard so use Blizzaga generously.

These nobodies have an excellent 18% chance of dropping Betwixt Shards, so you can score a good amount of shards without making too many runs around the area.

But to keep farming, just re-enter from the nearest save point to make them respawn.

Battlegate 3

During end-game, Betwixt Shards can be farmed from Battlegate 3, located in Twilight Town.

You can access Battlegates to challenge enemy hordes throughout the worlds after finishing the main story.

To reach Battlegate 3, land at The Old Mansion save point.

Head outside the main gate and you will find the blue crystal entrance to Battlegate 3 in the courtyard.

Note: Inside, you will have to battle the Snipers again if you want Betwixt Shards. Just remember to take them out first before dealing with the rest of the foes or it’ll get twice as difficult to clear the Battlegate efficiently.

Using Betwixt Shards

Betwixt Shards are required for two recipes, and you must have at least 4 shards in total to synthesize at least one of each recipe.
