To find Blazing Crystals, head to San Fransokyo at night and search for High Soldiers in the Central or North Districts. The High Soldiers are the only enemies in the game that drop Blazing Crystals, and since they have a very low drop rate, it’s a good idea to equip all your Lucky Strikes before you begin farming.

Note: Blazing Crystals cannot be purchased; however, they can be synthesized in the Moogle Shop.

San Fransokyo Farming Route

Enter the world from the South District: Night save point.

Head northwards and turn right at the first intersection to enter the Central District.

From here, reach the next intersection, where a group of High Soldiers will appear along with other Heartless.

High Soldiers can be distinguished from regular Soldiers by their horned helmets and yellow claws.

Head east after defeating them to reach a staircase where more High Soldiers appear.

Head north to reach the North District save point.

Keep going north until the street turns west; here two groups of High Soldiers and Soldiers will appear.

Since enemies appear in large groups in these areas, use area of effect spells like Thundaga to dispatch them quickly. Always remember that the minimap’s your best bet for navigating this sprawling city.

High Soldiers have a low drop rate (4%) for Blazing Crystals, so you’ll likely need to do a few runs from the South District save point to get however many you need.

Alternate: Battlegate 12

During the end-game, a more convenient way to farm Blazing Crystals is at Battlegate 12, also found in San Fransokyo.

Warp in from the North District save point (doesn’t matter if it’s day or night).

Just stay right there and look slightly to your left to spot the dark circular building with the giant fans spinning around it.

Wall run to the top of this building.

At the top of the helipad, you will spot the round blue crystal which is the entrance to Battlegate 12.
