Blazing Gems
Dropped By
  • Vermillion Samba (6%)
  • Sea Sprite (red) (6%)
Also Obtained By N/A
Best Farming Spot
  • Olympus – Realm Of The Gods/Corridors
  • The Caribbean – Port Royal

Getting Blazing Gems is not as easy as shards or stones in KH3.

Because Blazing Gems are only dropped by a couple of enemies in the game (Vermilion Samba and red Sea Sprites), and there are no alternate methods to obtain them either.

More specifically, to farm Blazing Gems, you need to look for:

  • Vermillion Sambas in Olympus
  • Sea Sprites (Red) in The Caribbean

Blazing Gems also become available for purchase in the Moogle Shop after collecting 20 of them as drops.

Olympus Farming Route

Enter the world from the Corridors save point in the Realm Of The Gods and head west.

Here, ride the Rail Gauntlet and you will encounter Vermilion Sambas along the route.

These tiny floating Heartless have balls of flame swiveling around them, and otherwise look quite similar to the Red Nocturnes found in most Kingdom Hearts games.

They only have a 6% chance of dropping Blazing Gems, which can make farming them rather challenging.

Just unleash your blaster at them while cycling back and forth on the rails. Eventually they will drop a gem or two each run.

The Caribbean Farming Route

Another possible route for farming Blazing Gems is to look for Sea Sprites in The Caribbean.

These fish-like Heartless are found throughout the oceans of The Caribbean. Just enter the world from the Docks save point in Port Royal and dive straight into the sea from the pier.

You can find these Sea Sprites easily enough; however, getting them to drop Blazing Gems can be a little tricky.

Once in battle, they will start changing colors and you can only obtain Blazing Gems if they are defeated while glowing red.

They also have a 6% drop rate so the grind can get tedious.

Just blast them with Blizzard spells or your strongest physical attacks when they’re red to make them drop Blazing Gems.

Note: You’ll need to warp in and out of the nearest save point to make them respawn and continue the farming route.
