You can’t obtain Damascus as drops from any enemies. Instead, you’ll find it in specific treasure chests across various worlds, or you can farm it by destroying the blue-glowing asteroids in specific routes – with the highest drop rate being in the Misty Stream route.

Misty Stream Asteroids

You can farm Damasus in most of the Gummi routes, but the Misty Stream route has the highest drop rate for this material.

You’ll do this by breaking apart the grey asteroids with blue glowing veins on them.

Open the World Map and then scroll to the second set of worlds. Then Embark from San Fransokyo and enter the Misty Stream route.

Immediately, you’ll come across large clusters of blue asteroids.

Take aim and open fire on these clusters.

Blue asteroids drop various Gummi Ship parts, as well as synthesis materials, including Damascus.

Blue asteroids in the misty stream have a 2% chance of dropping Damascus.

Shoot your way across the route and you can gather a significant amount in a full run.

For repeat runs just pause and exit from your Gummi ship, then re-enter from the World Map to reset the area.

Using Damascus

Damascus is required for four recipes, and you must have at least 8 of this material in total to synthesize at least one copy of each recipe.

For keychain upgrades of every Keyblade, you need a total of 48 Damascus.
