Electrum is extremely rare in KH3. You can find it in a handful of once-only treasure chests, or you can farm it by breaking up the blue asteroids in The Eclipse Gummi Ship route. But the asteroids only drop Electrum at a 1% rate, so you’ll be destroying a lot of rocks in your Gummi ship to get this material.
None of the enemies in the game drop Electrum and it cannot be bought or synthesized from Moogle Shop.

The Eclipse Farming
You can only farm Electrum in The Eclipse Gummi Ship route.
Access the World Map and embark from Keyblade Graveyard to enter The Eclipse route.
Note: Do not enter The Eclipse route from anywhere other than the Keyblade Graveyard or you’ll end up inside the mothership, which is a chore to escape from.

As soon as you enter, you will come across a huge mothership all set to blow you to bits. Avoid the ship and steer to its right side, where you will find a large cluster of blue-streaked asteroids.

Destroying blue asteroids tons of Gummi Ship parts, and occasionally some synthesis materials as well.
The asteroids in The Eclipse route are the only ones that can drop Electrum. However, the drop rate is an extremely low 1%.
Take your time and shoot as many asteroids as you can. Gradually, your Electrum numbers will start going up.

Exit to the World Map and re-enter to reset the route for repeat runs.
Using Electrum
Electrum is required for one regular synthesis recipe, and you must have at least 1 to synthesize a single copy of the recipe.
For keychain upgrades of every Keyblade, you need a total of 16 Electrums.
