The only way you can farm Frost Crystals as drops in Kingdom Hearts 3 is by defeating the Frost Serpents found in Arendelle. They have a high drop rate for Frost Crystals; however, the real challenge comes from the battle itself.

Frost Serpents are the toughest enemies in this world, and they can pose a significant challenge for under-leveled players.

Note: You cannot buy Frost Crystals, but they can be synthesized in the Moogle Shop.

Arendelle Farming Route

Enter the world from the Mountain Ridge save point and head for the cave to your northeast.

Run down the mountainous path in the Frozen Wall area.

At the first clearing, two Frost Serpents will appear, along with a group of Dusks and Satyrs.

Frost Serpents are giant, skeletal dragons that will test your battle skills if you’re not well prepared.

As soon as the battle starts, you will notice the serpents have multiple targets on them. They drop a different material depending on which part of their body is attacked. And unlike Frost Stones or Gems (which you can obtain by clipping their wings), Frost Serpents only drop Frost Crystals upon complete defeat.

If you’re not sure what to do, just hit them with your strongest fire spells.

The fight unfolds in two phases:

Once their wings are shattered, they’ll drop down and burrow under the snow. While underground, they will follow your movement and pop out to attack.

Just continue spamming fire spells along with any large area of effect spell you have and they will go down eventually.

Frost serpents have a 30% drop rate for Frost Crystals. And given how combat efficient you are, you can acquire a good number of crystals after a few runs.

Return to the Mountain Ridge save point to replenish your health and go back into the Frozen Wall zone to make them respawn.

Using Frost Crystals

Frost Crystals are required for seven recipes, and you must have at least 9 crystals in total to synthesize at least one copy of each recipe.
