Best Farming Spot:
  • Toy Box – Andy’s House
  • Battlegate 4 (Toy Box)

The Toy Box world is the best farming spot for Lightning Stones. These are dropped by Gold Beats and Marionettes in Toy Box, but try to focus your farming efforts on the Gold Beats, which have a much higher drop rate than the Marionettes. Gold Beats are found around the area outside of Andy’s House.

Note: You can buy Lightning Stones from the Moogle Shop after obtaining 25 of them on the field.

Toy Box Farming Route

Enter the world from the Andy’s House save point and head out of the window.

Immediately on the roof, you’ll be attacked by a group of Heartless including the Gold Beat.

These are your usual floating elemental mages, quite similar to the Yellow Operas found in previous Kingdom Hearts games.

Naturally, they will cast thunder magic at you after conjuring a sigil around themselves. They whizz around really fast, making it rather difficult to land a hit on them.

Just dodge roll around and use wind spells like Aero or Aeroga on them. Aero hurls them together, making it much easier to land your attacks.

After clearing the first batch, head down to the main road outside Andy’s House and more Gold Beats will appear along with other heartless.

Just spam your wind spells and they will go down in no time. With a 12% drop rate, these tiny Heartless are the best option to boost your Lightning Stone collection.

Battlegate 4

For end-game Lightning Stone farming, head to Battlegate 4, also found in Toy Box.

Battlegates are enemy gauntlets that open in every world after you complete the main story.

Just disembark at the Kid Korral save point and the entrance to the Battlegate will be right in front of you.

Inspect the blue round crystal and enter the battlegate for a relatively easier grind for all your Lightning Stone needs.
