Lucid Crystals

Lucid Crystals can be farmed in the Pirates of the Caribbean world. They are a rare drop exclusively obtained from the Anchor Raider Heartless.

Outside of bosses, these are some of the toughest enemies in the game.

Note: Lucid Crystals cannot be purchased, but you can synthesize them in the Moogle Shop.

The Caribbean Farming Route

Aside from some story specific appearances, Anchor Raiders only spawn in a single location in The Caribbean called the Isle of Luck.

To reach this island, you must first board your ship.

Just warp in from any save point and access your ship.

Open your sea chart and you will find the Isle of Luck to the west of the map.

Fast travel to the location and disembark.

Three Anchor Raiders will appear as soon as you arrive. They are large, half humanoid looking Heartless wearing red coats and pirate hats. They appear to be hanging on to anchors attached to chains suspended in mid-air.

The anchor raiders attack viciously, have very high HP stats, and can get especially dangerous if they gang up on you from all sides.

Just keep on your toes and remember to dodge constantly between attacks. They are weak to Blizzard magic, so hit them with Blizzagas every chance you get.

Given the Anchor Raiders’ 8% chance of dropping Lucid Crystals, you will need to make a few repeated runs if you want to increase your crystal supply.

Remember to equip all your Lucky Strikes before facing them and fast travel back from your ship to make them respawn.

Battlegate 10

To farm Lucid Crystals during the end-game, it’s best to head for Battlegate 10 – which is also in the Pirates of the Caribbean world.

Here’s where to find it:

Warp in from the Undersea Cavern save point.

Check your minimap and head down south. Make your way through the huge underwater cave and exit through the other end with the glowing jellyfish around it.

Follow the cavern after you emerge and you will spot the blue crystal entrance to Battlegate 10 up ahead.

Inside, you’ll have to face Anchor Raiders again to obtain Lucid Crystals, so be prepared for the challenge.

Using Lucid Crystals

Lucid Crystals are required for seven recipes, and you must have at least 9 crystals in total to synthesize at least one copy of each recipe.
