Mythril Shards

Mythril Shards are not dropped by any enemy in the game. You can only find them by breaking various objects in different worlds, blasting asteroids on Starlight Way, or opening a few treasure chests found in various worlds.

The best farming spot for getting multiple Mythril Shards is in the Starlight Way Gummi Ship route.

Starlight Way

You can farm Mythril Shards easiest in Starlight Way while on board your Gummi Ship.

Open the world map and embark from any world or waypoint into the Starlight Way route.

Navigate your ship around the route and start searching for blue asteroids.

Once you find them, just start blasting them apart.

These asteroids give various items, including the Mythril Shards. However, they only have a 2% chance of dropping Mythril Shards, so you will need to scour the entire area for blue asteroids to blow up in order to gather a sizable amount of shards.

Olympus Farming (optional)

You can also obtain Mythril Shards by breaking urns throughout the Thebes area in Olympus.

Land at the Agora save point and start exploring the area.

You will find urns lying around under houses and street corners.

Just start breaking these urns wherever you find them.

You can obtain Mythril Shards occasionally from them. Just circle around, smashing your way through the entire Thebes area and you can collect a decent number of shards every run.

Exit and re-enter from any save point to reset the objects in the area for repeat smashing.

Using Mythril Shards

Mythril Shards are required for eight recipes, and you must have at least 23 shards in total to synthesize at least one copy of each recipe.
