When it comes to item synthesis in Kingdom Hearts 3, Orichalcum+ (Orichalcum Plus) is pretty much the holy grail of synthesis materials. This material is not a farmable item; instead, there are only 7 of them found in the game. All of their locations are listed in the table above, and we’ll detail them further in this page as well.
Other than a couple of easy treasure chests, most of them are tied to demanding challenges, some of which span the entire length of the game.
The sole purpose of Orichalcum+ is the forging of the highly coveted Ultima Weapon Keyblade. You need all 7 of them for the recipe.
#1: Twilight Town
You can get an Orichalcum+ as a random Postcard prize in Twilight Town.
Postcards are items you receive after making a purchase at the Moogle Shop. There’s about a 50% chance of receiving a Postcard every time you buy an item.
You can mail Postcards in the red mailbox right next to Moogle Shop to randomly receive different prizes. One of the possible prizes is the Orichalcum+ (one time only).
Tip: Instead of wasting your munny on a stack of items, you can simply save the game after receiving one Postcard. Then mail it – if you get your Orichalcum+, great! But if not, just reload the save and mail the Postcard again for another go.
Due to its randomness, it might take some time to finally get one, but this Orichalcum+ is still a fairly easy grab compared to the challenge required to obtain the others.
#2: Arendelle
You can obtain an Orichalcum+ in Arendelle by collecting all 10 treasures found in the Frozen Slider minigame.
You can access it by talking to Elsa near the Mountain Ridge save point.
Frozen Slider is a sledding minigame where you have to slide down a snowy course, collecting points and avoiding obstacles while sledding on Goofy’s shield.
You collect tiny crystals throughout the course to increase your score.
However, what you need to look for are ten larger crystals, each etched with a different Roman numeral from 1 to 10.
These are the ten treasures you must collect in order to obtain the Orichalcum+.
But you cannot collect all ten of them in one go; it is impossible to do so.
Because the track in Frozen Slider isn’t a single path; it branches into multiple routes, each with one or two of these treasures. In order to collect all of them, you will likely have to repeat the minigame 7 to 8 times at least.
Remember, you must complete the full course each time you collect a treasure to successfully add it to your collection.
After collecting all ten of them, you receive the Orichalcum+ as a one-time reward.
#3: The Caribbean
As a sort of respite, there is an easy Orichalcum+ available in a treasure chest in The Caribbean.
Simply hop on board your ship from anywhere, access the sea chart next to the wheel and fast travel to Exile Island. You can find it a little to the west of the center of the sea chart.
Exile Island is a tiny, secluded island with thick trees and vegetation all over.
Dock your ship close by and travel to the very center of the island to find a chest with the Orichalcum+ in it.
#4: The Final World
You can find another Orichalcum+ in a treasure chest in The Final World. This is the glass-like world that Sora briefly visits during the events in the Keyblade Graveyard.
However, you won’t find the chest during the story section of the game.
You will have to head back to The Final World after completing the story bit for the chest to appear.
To access The Final World, enter the Keyblade Graveyard from the Badlands save point and head south. In the large opening after the narrow passage, you can spot the pink circular crystal that will teleport you to The Final World.
Upon arriving, you can find the treasure chest with the Orichalcum+ right next to the pink teleport crystal.
#5: The Eclipse
You can earn an Orichalcum+ by defeating the Omega Machina boss in The Eclipse Gummi route.
However, the Omega Machina is a hidden superboss, and you must first defeat four minibosses scattered around the giant mothership to make it appear.
After defeating the minibosses, the omega Machina will appear on top of the mothership.
This violently pink battleship is the toughest enemy you’ll encounter on the Gummi Ship routes.
Upgrade your ship with as much firepower as you can, and also equip the repair ability before heading into battle.
After four grueling phases, the Omega Machina will finally go down.
Note: In order to obtain the Orichalcum+, you must achieve at least a B rank in the battle.
#6: The Lucky Emblem Side Quest (various worlds)
You will obtain an Orichalcum+ after collecting at least 80 Lucky Emblems across multiple worlds. Lucky Emblems are hidden Mickey-shaped symbols etched on different surfaces in the environment.
You need to find these lucky Emblems and take a picture of them from your Gummi Phone.
There are a total of 90 emblems hidden in almost all the worlds.
Some are right there in plain sight, while others are cleverly hidden and need to be viewed at a certain angle to be clearly visible.
This side quest spans almost the entire length of the game.
Collect 80 of these emblems and you will be rewarded with an Orichalcum+ for your efforts.
#7: The Flantastic Seven Side Quest (various worlds)
You can earn an Orichalcum+ at the end of the Flantastic Seven sidequest.
The Flantastic Seven are seven giant Heartless that look like flan puddings wearing hats shaped like different fruit. These Flan are hidden in various worlds, with only their fruit hats visible above ground.
Examine the fruits and the huge Flan will appear.
All of them let you enter different challenges like sledding, photographing, or even fighting, and you must overcome them to win different rewards.
In order to win the Orichalcum+, you must complete all seven challenges and earn the required high score for each of them.
Keep in mind that getting a high score is no easy feat, and at times can get exceedingly frustrating if you get stuck in a rut. Keep practicing to get them down!

Using Orichalcum+
Orichalcum+ is only required for the recipe of the Ultima Weapon keyblade, and you must have all 7 of them to synthesize it.
