Pulsing Gems

Pulsing Gems can be farmed in two locations in KH3.

They can be obtained from Satyrs in Arendelle or Pogo Shovels in San Fransokyo. Based on your preferred farming method, you can choose between a focused farming location with tougher enemies, or a more expansive area with easier targets.

Pulsing Gems can also be bought from the Moogle Shop after you’ve collected 20 of them as drops.

San Fransokyo Farming Route

Warp in from the North District: Night save point.

Look for areas with trees, like roadside parks scattered around the city.

Pogo Shovels will spawn in most areas with foliage and trees.

Just like the name suggests, these tiny Heartless appear to be riding pogo sticks with shovel-shaped ends, have large eyes, drill noses, and are wearing yellow hard hats.

Pogo Shovels do not pose much of a threat. Just spam your stronger spells and take out most of them in a few hits. They drop Pulsing Gems 8% of the time and you can easily take them out in groups.

However, you will have to scour entire city blocks to find spots where they spawn.

Just warp back from the closest save point to make them respawn.

Arendelle Farming Route

Enter from the Foothills save point and head north.

Follow the path and about halfway down, a large group of Satyrs will appear.

Satyrs are humanoid-looking Heartless, wearing blue armor and horned helmets and have hooves for feet.

Satyrs are tricky foes, and defeating them can be difficult without the right approach.

They can toss you in the air with their charge attack. Use Aerial Recovery to regain your footing and take them down with Thundagas or Aerogas.

After clearing the group out, re-enter from the save point to have them respawn. Despite the low 4% drop rate, quickly defeating groups of Satyrs can result in a respectable number of Pulsing Gems.

Battlegate 1

During the end-game, Pulsing Gems can only be farmed from Battlegate 1, located in Olympus.

Land at the Summit save point in the Mount Olympus area.

Head up the giant staircase and enter the Realm of the Gods.

Run a little ways ahead into a courtyard and you will spot a round, blue orb with pointy shards around it. This is the entrance to Battlegate 1.

Using Pulsing Gems

Pulsing Gems are required for eleven recipes, and you must have at least 24 gems in total to synthesize at least one copy of each recipe.
