Sinister Gems

Similar to Shards and Stones, Sinister Gems can also be farmed in the Monstropolis world in KH3. The Turtletoad Unversed drop these gems with the highest drop rate in Monstropolis.

Sinister Gems also become available for purchase in the Moogle Shop after collecting 20 of them in the field.

Note: None of the Sinister materials can be farmed from the Battlegates that appear during end-game.

Monstropolis Farming Route

Enter from the Lobby & Offices save point and head south into the circular lobby.

You will encounter four Turtletoads in this area.

As the name suggests, the Turtletoads are giant toads with turtle shells on top.

Their bodies are bright red with green colored shells. They have long protruding eyes and yellow whiskers on either side of the face.

The Turtletoads have a number of strong attacks, with the squash attack being the one to watch out for.

Their charging whisker attack and the spinning attack also pack a punch.

Your best defense is to dodge as much as you can.

Turtletoads have high HP stats, so physical attacks might take a while. However they are weak to blizzard magic, so Blizzagas will make your life much easier.

They have an excellent 16% chance of dropping Sinister Gems, and you can quickly take them out using as many Blizzagas as you can.

After clearing them all out, just return back out of the world from the nearest save point and land again to have them respawn.

Using Sinister Gems

Sinister Gems are required for five recipes, and you must have at least 11 gems in total to synthesize at least one copy of each recipe.
