When it comes to Wellspring Stones, there’s a whole lot of enemies you can fight for these drops. But for efficient farming, the best spots are in Toy Box and San Fransokyo. You can farm the Popcats in Toy Box and the Pogo Shovels in San Fransokyo, both in large numbers together.

Note: Wellspring Stones cannot be bought or Synthesized at the Moogle Shop. You’ll have to acquire them the regular farming way.

Toybox Farming Route

Warp in from the Main Floor: 3F save point and head north.

Sora at the Main Floor: 3F save point / Kingdom Hearts 3

Enter the Video Games store and walk in towards the center aisle and the Popcats will pounce on you from all sides.

These tiny Heartless hide inside pots and wear them as armor of sorts.

They have large ears and glowing eyes that pop out from under the lids, while their curled tails and slender bodies can be seen underneath the pots.

They have very basic scratch and spin attacks that you can easily avoid or block.

Notably, they are some of the weakest enemies in the game. So using large area of effect spells can take out their entire group fast.

They have an 8% chance of dropping Wellspring Stones, which isn’t too high, but since you only need a Thundaga or two to decimate their entire group you’ll be able to obtain scores of stones each run.

Clear them out and quickly return from the nearest save point to have them respawn.

San Fransokyo Farming Route

You can also farm Wellspring Stones quickly at San Fransokyo.

Enter the world from the North District: Night save point and head north.

Look for roadside parks or gardens with large trees growing as you walk by.

As soon as you enter one, scores of Pogo Shovels will appear. Pogo Shovels are tiny Heartless wearing yellow construction hats and riding a shovel-shaped pogo stick. They have drill-shaped noses and large glowing eyes.

Pogo Shovels have a spin attack and an attack where they pounce at you.

They can also drill the ground to throw rocks at you but occasionally these drills will end up giving you munny. Their attacks can be easily avoided or blocked.

They drop Wellspring Stones 8% of the time. And since they always appear in large groups, you can conveniently take them all out with your strongest spells.

The park area alone has over 40 Pogo Shovels spawning together, and you can easily gather a large haul of stones from them each run.

Then once you complete the run, just return back from the closest save point and leave/re-enter the world to make them respawn.

Battlegate 7

You can also farm Wellspring Stones during the end-game from Battlegate 7, located in the Kingdom of Corona.

To reach Battlegate 7, enter from the Tower save point and head into the cave behind you.

Follow the tunnel and exit through a vine-covered opening into the Hills area.

From here, head northeast, following a path into a large clearing.

You will spot the round crystal entrance to Battlegate 7 under a large tree in the center of the clearing.
